An early morning at Airport Viewpoint Dara at Upper Pakyun, Sikkim
The day before yesterday after visiting the house of my cousin sister Sushan at Renock Gurung Busty, I headed toward Pakyun, Sikkim along with my wife Puspa. The state highway from Renock to Pakyun, recently constructed as per the standard scheduled of engineering is praiseworthy and so smooth for driving during dark. It took a friction of time from Renock to Pakyun to drive my car.
When I happened to halt at my niece Mala's house at Pakyun Sikkime on 15.5.2022, as my wife Puspa and myself planed in person to meet our dear kith and kin residing at Sikkim for giving Supari Nimto (customary way of invitation in Gorkha culture). The next morning at 5 AM I visited at one of my relative Sri Bir Bahadur Gurung, the orchidologist at Peplitar Busty just 5 to 6 kilometer away which is situated above Pakyun Airport. With the help of google route map I negotiated my drive. When I reached at Airport Viewpoint Dara, I stopped my car to capture the panoramic bird eye view of the Pakyun Ariport runway and natural beauty of the landscape of Pakyun district. The point iewpoint Dara is a spectacular tourists' view point where from any visitors can "Lochan Labh" the beauty of silent valley of Pakyun district.
What I observed as a swachaagrahi of Swacha Bharat Abhiyan that area where the Viewpoint Dara exist is full of litters thrown by the public. There is no any amenities of sitting benches nor garbage disposal bin. Someone has built a kachha hut for selling tea and snakes there which shows the poor management of the tourism stakeholders of the Govt of Sikkim as well as homestay stakeholders of the area. Nonetheless Airpoint View Point Dara will certainly adds one beautiful feather on the cap of eco- tourism industry if it properly provide amentias there.
